Opening lap of the CSCC Open Race at Croft Race Circuit in July 2017.

First outing for the Porsche 944 with fellow team mate Tony Blake in the Porsche 911 RSR being one of the cars that came flying past aswel as a caterham.

Need to start thinking about how to upgrade the power unit.

Final stage of the event was all about bringing the car home. Unable to catch those in front subject to any mechanical issues and a minute gap to the car behind, it was all about being smooth and continuing our good form.

Earlier in the day the tarmac under the tree's had been very slippy but by the early evening it had finally dissipated giving much more confidence in the car.

Another 4th place only a few seconds to those in front secured us 4th overall in the rally and another 1st in class during the Mallorca Rally Clasico.

The car was as always incredibly reliable but more importantly sounded amazing due to the straight through exhaust.

The circuit conditions were wet all day with heavy rain the night before. In the morning a car had spilled oil all around the the track and due to the risk the Clerk decided to run the Qualifying Session behind the safety Car. The grid would be determined based on Class and Decade of car. This unfortunately put us in 19th position with a lot of work to do. Never the less it made for some good racing.

After 40mins Josh finished 4th overall and 1st in class by over a lap.

Unfortunately the Go Pro mount was loose and the camera vibrated down over kerbs. The footage turns pretty poor with extreme exposure until its drops so much you can only see the floor...

The final stage of the day on the first full day of the rally the ambient temperature was warm and had dried out all of the tarmac that had been sheltered by the trees.

One of the longest stages of the event it also had some of the best flowing roads.

We finished 4th on the stage only 14 seconds off the lead which was a welcomed surprised as we believed that we could have pushed harder on reflection.

Aston moved out of the Porsche 911 RSR to race the Porsche 944 S2 by himself. Qaulifying the car in 3rd place overall and 2nd in class.

Heading out on dry tyres (Toyo R888r's) the rain came down around 5 minutes into the session.

Even after serving a 30 second winners penalty Aston finished 2nd on the road and 1st in class in the cars debut.

Footage of the Future Classics 1970's race. We were on pol position for the race with a 30 second winners penalty to take during the pit stop.

Cold Tyres on the first lap put the Porsche 911 of Henderson rite on the bumper.

A few laps in and we were posting new fastest laps which were over half a second a lap faster than qualifying.

A really good race with the win out of sight from the go with a winners penalty.

We used Donington park as our benchmark for the cars development over the last few years and this year was clearly a large step forward with improvement of over 2 seconds a lap faster than testing last year. Much of this has been owed to new geometry set up working with Center Gravity.

The team qualified 1st in class (5th Overall) ready for a another wet race. The track itself was incredibly slippy as a car in a previous race had dropped oil down the main straight.

With a rolling start Aston got caught up behind the MX-5 in front and with initial lack of grip dropped to 7th. A few laps in Aston managed to pick off 3 cars and was about to overtake Tim Bates for 3rd when he pitted.

Aston brought the car in for a change over with a slightly slower than normal pit stop.

Whilst all over drivers around the team had a single driver, Josh had the disadvantage of getting into the car and being under pressure to get onto the pace straight away.

Nevertheless Josh was on the pace within a few laps and by the end of the race the 2nd fastest car, only to be beaten by the 3.6 Litre Audi Ex DTM Car.

Without knowing the MG of Fowler spun on the final corner of the last lap promoting the team to 3rd overall by just 0.341 which was a brilliant result.

The team now have a 100% class winning record in the 2017 season and have never been less than 4th overall in the Future Classics series.

Bring on 2018.
